This online seminar provides an introduction to meditating in the Christian tradition, with an emphasis on the ancient scriptural call to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deu 6:5, Mk 12:30, Mat 22:37, and Lk 10:27).
The 1-hour session is recognised across all Victorian dioceses for accreditation in Catholic identity, culture, tradition, and theology.

This is the first of three online presentations offered by Bat Kol International and co-sponsored by Notre Dame de Sion, on the theme “Ancient texts for our troubled times”. All the sessions will explore biblical perspectives with relevance to interreligious relations and social cohesion issues in our time.
The theme of the conference this year is “Repentance, repair, and reconciliation: religious resources for tumultuous times”.
Together with the plenary sessions, there will be more than 20 workshops, which will address a wide range of themes related to the conference theme as well as to Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations and interreligious dialogue in general.
Sr Kasia Kowalska NDS (ICCJ Vice President) will moderate the 2nd plenary session, entitled “Liturgical Approaches: Performing Repentance, Repair, and Reconciliation: Learning from Liturgies, Rituals, and Customs”.
Mark Walsh (Sion Associate) will facilitate a workshop called “Deep Listening: Bridging the Distance Between Us”.
Dr. Mia Theocharis and Hector Acero Ferrer (Sion Associate) will represent the Congregation with the workshop “Repair in Practice – Confronting Antisemitism in Academic and Interreligious Campus life”.
