Centuries later, Pope Leo XIII shepherded the Church through the challenges of the industrial age and mass migration, offering a prophetic voice for social justice.
This legacy found its living expression in Pope Leo’s first words: an appeal for peace and dialogue that fills us with renewed hope.
The Augustinians have a hymn whose chorus affirms: “We are the flame of compassion, intelligence, and heart!” May these words be an auspice for the Pontificate of Pope Leo XIV.
