Pope Leo XIV inaugural mass

On behalf of women religious, Sr Oonah O’Shea, NDS, took part in the inaugural mass held for Pope Leo XIV on Sunday 18 May, during which representatives of the People of God promised obedience to the Holy Father.

As newly elected President of the Union of General Superiors (UISG), she assured Pope Leo of the support of the hundreds of thousands of professed religious women across the globe. With hands joined, they exchanged pledges of reciprocal prayer for this new era.
